First, this movie is based on a true story. Incredible that this actually happened to someone. After watching this movie, which can be seen on Netflix - you should watch a documentary of the real Sandra on YouTube.
Race issues have confused people and ruined many lives. Sandra was born to white parents, but she has african/black features. She was 'classified' black, then white, and then black again. Though her story is sad, Sandra made the best of the impossible situations she was put it. She did not give up.
